2022 January: Drop shackles for the F150

This isn’t a Scamp upgrade but a modification to my truck for the Scamp.

Since my the ball on my hitch is about 4 1/2 inches too high when the Scamp is level, it takes a long time to raise and lower the camper to hitch up. This is a very slow and loud process with the electric motors on the jack stands.

I had a drop shackle installed to lower the rear end of the truck by 2 inches at the rear axle. I haven’t been able to actually measure the new height difference yet, but it is lower. My next plan to reduce the difference is to raise the Scamp by and inch using larger wheels/tires
